PPOSBC is looking for a Clinician to join the Upland Health Center team. The clinician will provide non-judgmental, empathetic, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include conducting exams, treatments, education, and counseling for patients in accordance with agency protocols.

Responsibilities

Essential functions include the tasks, duties, and responsibilities performed as part of the job, which define the purpose of the role.

  • Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and protocols regarding physical exams, procedural skills, judgment, charting, and patient communication. This may include successfully completing agency, regional, and/or state certification requirements.
  • Follow affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait times, and handling client complaints.
  • Participate in efforts to achieve productivity and revenue cycle goals, including maintaining a cycle time of under 60 minutes.
  • Provide clinical services following the PPOSBC Medical Standards and Guidelines, Standardized Procedures, and Policies, including abortion services, and meet quality metrics and goals.
  • Ensure accuracy and detail in documenting patient data in medical records.
  • Evaluate and treat medical problems, ensuring follow-up and appropriate referrals.
  • Supervise follow-up procedures for abnormal lab results.
  • Dispense medications under standing orders.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and efficiency.
  • Meet customer satisfaction benchmarks as set by the Patient Services Administration team.
  • Manage emergency situations and consult with physicians as needed.
  • Orient new clinicians and participate in peer reviews and medical meetings.
  • Meet productivity goals and complete incident reports when necessary.
  • Participate in after-hours call duties.
  • Assist with training, supervision, and ordering of clinical supplies and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Medical Director.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and dependability. May be deployed to other sites including Orange and San Bernardino County locations.

Qualifications

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current California clinician's license.
  • Furnishing license, as applicable to NP.
  • Board Certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • ACLS required for surgical sites.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife with reproductive/primary care specialty.
  • Preferred experience in women's health or managed/primary health care.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Bilingual skills may be required and tested prior to offer if applicable.
