Mount Prospect Academy seeks a Clinician - In home therapist in Beverly, MA.

The Clinician will provide in-home therapeutic services, coordinate with CBS team, and support families to identify and utilize community and natural supports for lasting impact.

Qualifications

• Master's in social work (MSW) or mental health counseling (MHC) required.
• Related fields also welcome: (LMFT, LCMHC, LICSW)
• Valid driver's license with insured transportation.
• Position requires background check, driving, and other record checks

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support for individuals and their families to overcome obstacles, identify strengths and develop support networks.
• Establish clear treatment goals and clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment and interventions.
• Direct the activities of other team members to ensure client and family interactions are goal oriented and clinically appropriate.

Who we serve

Mount Prospect Academy is proud to be CARF accredited for Intensive Family-Based Services. The community-based office provides intensive services to at risk youth and their families in the community. Within the service model, the MPA CBS team is able to work closely with families in their own environment, creating the best possibility for lasting impact. The MPA CBS team is skilled in providing trauma-sensitive treatment and maintains a trauma-informed approach within all operations.

Job Description

MPA's Community Based Services are intended to provide short term support and stabilization. As such, services provided by the Clinician and their teams should generally be focused on helping clients and their families identify and utilize long-term community supports and natural supports as well as agencies in the community. The Clinician is responsible for establishing clear treatment goals and clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment and interventions. The Clinician directs the activities of other team members to ensure client and family interactions are goal oriented and clinically appropriate. The Clinician will perform some or all of the following services: provide clinical support for individuals and their families to overcome obstacles, identify strengths and develop support networks that will help them overcome barriers; provide support, education and guidance to assist in developing structure, routines, effective parenting skills, positive communication, safety and behavioral plans, as well as hygiene plans. Other services provided are based on individual and family needs (i.e., nutrition and meal planning, household budgeting, etc.).
