The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outpatient services for children and adolescents in a structured setting. The clinician conducts intake assessments, provides evidence-based individual and family therapy, and maintains timely documentation while engaging families and schools to support treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, MFT, addiction counseling).
• Associates license (MFTA, PCA, LMSW) required; eligible for LCSW/LMFT/LPC.

Responsibilities

This position will be located at 255 Bank Street Waterbury, CT. (Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm).Compensation: The annual salary range for this position starts at $57,000.Sign-on bonus: $5,000 ($2,500 at 6 months and $2,500 after 1 year)Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. CMHA also takes into consideration our benefits and paid time off package to provide a well-rounded and competitive approach to the applicant’s overall compensation.Position Summary: The school-based Clinician serves as active part of a multidisciplinary team that provides school-based outpatient services in a structured therapeutic environment for children and adolescents who present with a wide range of behavioral health needs. Engages parents, family members and other pertinent adults to support the child through the therapeutic process. Treatment is aimed at assisting individuals and families by helping them develop the skills necessary to improve their quality of life.Essential Responsibilities and Target Outcomes:•Maintains all trainings and certifications as required by program model.•Completes documentation within designated timeframes as established by CMHA and external regulatory agencies.•Performs comprehensive intake assessment that results in diagnosis and recommendations for psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for adults and/or children.•Completes assessment tools, integrates pertinent information to establish diagnosis, and analyzes data to create clinical formulation within designated timeframe.•Performs individual, family and/or group treatment utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate positive strength‐based change.•Develops achievable goals with client, with measurable and behavioral objectives within designated timeframes. Monitors treatment progress and provide updates within identified timeframes and as clinically indicated.•Collaborates with other providers by providing all pertinent clinical information in a timely manner.•Responds to crisis situations and triages appropriately, communicating clearly with internal and external providers/stakeholders to meet presenting client needs.•Provides referrals and linkage to community and internal resources as necessary to address client need.•Completes documentation within designated timeframes as established by CMHA and external regulatory agencies.•Secures reimbursement for services rendered by submitting accurate documentation in a timely manner.•Adheres to all state, federal, Joint Commission and other oversight regulations.•Performs other related duties as assigned.Education: Master’s degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, alcohol and drug counseling).Credentials and Licenses: Must have associates license (MFTA, PCA, LMSW). Must be eligible for LCSW, LMFT, LPC. Will be certified in MANDT, first aid, and CPR.
