CMHA is looking to hire a full-time Clinician I, 40 hours per week, located in New Britain, CT. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings up to 7 PM and occasional weekend availability based on operational needs.

Compensation: The annual salary range starts at $57,000 for Clinician I, with eligibility for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The salary for Clinician II starts at $68,500, with a $7,000 sign-on bonus. Compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, and internal pay equity, considering benefits and paid time off for a comprehensive package.

Position Summary: Provides assessment and clinical treatment to clients via satellite sites and CMHA’s main clinic at 233 Main Street, including individual, family, and group therapy to address client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) at satellite sites and the main clinic.
  • Reduce opioid use disorder (OUD) and overdose-related deaths among homeless or at-risk individuals through treatment and education.
  • Connect individuals with OUD to primary care to reduce chronic disease and premature death.
  • Deliver integrated behavioral health and primary care services to at least 25 participants annually at the CMHA Open Access Center.
  • Develop and monitor achievable goals with clients, providing updates as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or alcohol and drug counseling).
  • Eligibility for full licensure.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Valid CT Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Interest in working with children, adolescents, families, and adults with behavioral health issues.
  • At least two years of experience in mental health services provision.
