Job summary

New Freedom is seeking a compassionate Clinician (Behavioral Health Technician) to join our Peoria Clinical team. You will deliver psychoeducational and supportive services within the Intensive Outpatient Program to members facing substance use and related challenges.

You’ll run structured sessions, support individual progress, coordinate with the care team, and help members pursue recovery and community reintegration.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with substance use, trauma-related needs, re-entry challenges, or co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborative mindset and respectful interactions with members, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate IOP group counseling sessions using a designated psychoeducational curriculum.
• Meet with members monthly for individual sessions and ongoing support.
• Manage treatment plans and monitor progress toward goals and completion.
• Coordinate with the clinical care team and ensure timely follow-up.
• Assist members in developing a path toward recovery, stability, and community reintegration.
• Provide supportive services to maintain, monitor, and modify covered services as needed.
• Identify resources and connect members with services supporting treatment and stability.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition support upon treatment completion.
• Maintain detailed electronic health records for all services provided.
• Adapt to fluctuating member flow while upholding quality and professionalism.
• Participate in clinical supervision and continuing education for BHT designation.
• Meet KPIs and other quality, engagement, and documentation expectations.
