Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a vestibular technician to support diagnostic testing and the clinical evaluation and treatment of patients with vestibular disorders. You will perform VNG, CDP, and VEMP, calibrate equipment, and document patient histories and test results.

You will communicate test results and treatment recommendations to physicians, educate patients about vestibular conditions and options, maintain accurate records, adhere to infection

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated knowledge of vestibular anatomy and testing procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Video Nystagmography (VNG), Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP), and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP).
• Calibrate equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collect and document patient medical history, current medications, and test results.
• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with balance and vestibular disorders.
• Communicate test results and treatment recommendations to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Educate patients on vestibular disorders and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and test results.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service in practice office including: schedule appointments, answer routine inquiries, scan documents to EPIC, and assist others in these areas.
