Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Value Liaison in New York to engage payer decision-makers and communicate the clinical and economic value of therapies. This role requires building relationships with managed care organizations and formulary committees to support patient access.

The CVL will present evidence, address payer questions, and collaborate across Medical Affairs and Commercial teams to inform value-based care strategies in oncology. Strong clinical acumen is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience as a Payor Medical Liaison.
• 3+ years of clinical or related practical experiences in oncology.
• Experience in Managed Care/PBM, HEOR activities, or strong knowledge of P&T committee processes.
• Strong scientific and clinical acumen.
• Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Work with health care decision makers focused on payer initiatives, RWE, HEOR, and removing clinical and economic barriers to patient access.
• Plan and execute strategy and engagement for assigned customers.
• Establish and maintain scientific relationships with payer medical directors, pharmacy directors, formulary committee members, integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, and other healthcare decision-makers.
• Delivers scientific presentations to formulary committees and other key healthcare decision makers (HCDMs), communicating the health economic model and supporting clinical data, and serves as the primary field-based resource to address questions related to these insights.
• Gather and communicate payer insights regarding formulary considerations, evidence gaps, utilization management, prior authorization requirements, reimbursement barriers, and evolving healthcare policy to inform Medical Affairs and evidence generation strategies.
• Maintains a deep understanding of payer evidence needs, reimbursement challenges, and population health priorities.
• Serve as a trusted scientific resource regarding clinical outcomes, comparative effectiveness, RWE, HEOR, and value evidence.
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
