Job summary

Syneos Health in Miami, FL is seeking a Clinical Value Liaison (CVL) to engage payers and healthcare decision-makers, communicating the clinical and economic value of therapies. The CVL will serve as a scientific partner for managed care organizations and PBMs, supporting evidence exchanges around RWE, HEOR, and formulary decisions.

Ideal candidates have an MD/PhD/PharmD level degree, oncology experience, and strong ability to translate complex data into practical insights for patient access.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent degree.
• 2+ years of industry experience as a Payor Medical Liaison.
• 3+ years of clinical or related practical experiences in oncology required.
• Experience in Managed Care/PBM, HEOR activities, or strong knowledge of P&T committee processes.
• Strong scientific and clinical acumen.
• Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Work with health care decision makers focused on payer initiatives, RWE, HEOR, and removing clinical and economic barriers to patient access.
• Plan and execute strategy and engagement for assigned customers.
• Establish and maintain scientific relationships with payer medical directors, pharmacy directors, formulary committee members, integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, and other healthcare decision-makers.
• Delivers scientific presentations to formulary committees and other key healthcare decision makers, communicating the health economic model and supporting clinical data.
• Gather and communicate payer insights regarding formulary considerations, evidence gaps, utilization management, prior authorization requirements, reimbursement barriers, and evolving healthcare policy.
• Maintains a deep understanding of payer evidence needs, reimbursement challenges, and population health priorities.
• Serve as a trusted scientific resource regarding clinical outcomes, comparative effectiveness, RWE, HEOR, and value evidence.
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
