Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City invites applications for a Portfolio Manager in Research Administration. You will oversee clinical trial portfolios, coordinate start-up activities, streamline activation, conduct feasibility reviews, and assist study teams with regulatory and logistical matters to drive successful trial progress.

The role requires a strong understanding of federal regulations and prior IRB/ethics committee exposure.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in a clinical research environment and/or supporting the conduct of clinical trials.
• Understanding of clinical research and applicable federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Portfolio Manager for clinical trials in assigned disease groups, supporting start-up activities and activation processes.
• Coordinate start-up meetings and feasibility reviews; document outcomes and next steps.
• Assist study teams with regulatory information from CTSUs, IDS, COI, IBC, etc.
• Provide editorial assistance on informed consent forms.
• Support PIs and staff with problem solving related to clinical, logistical, financial and regulatory issues.
• Monitor start-up and enrollment timelines; identify barriers and intervene when needed.
• Ensure activation tasks are completed and communicate activation progress to teams.
• Participate in planning meetings and connect teams with resources and training.
