Job summary

Evolution Research Group is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support clinical trials on the unit, overseeing subject care and coordinating sample collection under GCP/ICH guidelines. You will perform safety checks, document observations, and assist with subject well-being while subjects stay housed on site.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, ECGs, tube labeling and processing, specimen storage and shipment, proper disposal of bio-specimens, and maintaining a clean, compliant work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification (national) preferred.
• Knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to communicate with providers and staff in a courteous manner.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular safety and status checks on clinical trial subjects housed on unit as determined by physician orders.
• Perform protocol procedures including vital signs, blood collection and processing, ECGs, and point-of-care laboratory tests.
• Perform basic lab procedures including preparation of specimen tubes, blood collection, centrifugation, storage and shipping of specimens, and accountability of specimens.
• Ensure that biological specimens are disposed of appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment for staff and subjects.
• Engage subjects in group or one-on-one activities while housed on unit.
• Provide linens, toiletries and sundries to subjects.
• Serve meals and snacks to subjects on the unit.
• Study, learn and comply with ERG SOPs and regulations.
• Role may expand to meet organizational needs.
