Job summary

Temple University Health System is seeking a Health Educator II to support clinical trial participation at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Hospital.

You will recruit, educate, and coordinate with patients, maintaining detailed databases and addressing barriers to trial enrollment.

The role emphasizes bilingual English/Spanish communication and strong interpersonal skills in a diverse patient population. This is a two-year grant-funded study.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Community Health, or related field required.
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Community Health, or related field preferred.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients, recruit, and obtain informed consent for participation in a study assessing patient education and coordination to support trial decision making.
• Maintain multiple detailed databases to track screened, consented, enrolled, and intervention patients.
• Identify educational needs, barriers, and resource needs using interpersonal and communication skills.
