Job summary

Job description

Coordinate and facilitate the conduct of clinical research protocols supported by NCI, industry, cooperative groups, or grant‑funded and investigator‑initiated studies. Provide leadership in the management and operation of clinical research protocols to ensure participant recruitment and accrual, protocol compliance, participant safety, and data quality. Work closely with the clinical research team to develop tools for monitoring and reporting trial accrual, and coordinate timely study activation and submission of protocol amendments.

Location

Fox Chase Cancer Center Office of Clinical Research at Temple University Hospital – Main Campus, East Norriton, and Buckingham Campuses.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the conduct of clinical research protocols.
• Provide leadership in protocol management to ensure recruitment, accrual, compliance, safety, and data quality.
• Develop and maintain tools for monitoring and reporting trial accrual.
• Coordinate study activation and submission of protocol amendments.
• Interact with investigators, healthcare team members, service line members, and participants/families to support clinical trials.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Clinical Research Nurse; 2 years in nursing with a focus on oncology or comparable clinical environment; 2 years experience in oncology or equivalent clinical trials.
• Knowledge: Experience with chemotherapy administration and/or radiation therapy treatment modalities preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse license required; Oncology Nursing certification preferred; Clinical Research Professional certification preferred; Clinical Research Coordinator certification preferred; Clinical Research Associate certification preferred; Multi‑State Compact RN license required.
