Job summary

Job Description:

The Clinical Transition Representative will provide clinical activation, healthcare operations, transition planning, technical planning, coordination, and advisory expertise in support of the transition from existing facilities at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) and the 86th Medical Group Ambulatory Clinic to the new Rhine Ordnance Barracks Medical Center (ROBMC).

The position will support the gaining units, LRMC, the 86th Medical Group, DHA-FE, and the Project Support Office (PSO) in preparing for the safe, effective, and accreditable startup of healthcare operations at the new medical center.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide expertise in clinical activation and operations of a U.S. military medical center.
  • Assess clinical changes associated with transitioning healthcare services from LRMC and the 86th Medical Group Ambulatory Clinic to ROBMC.
  • Provide clinical transition and technical planning expertise.
  • Provide coordination and advice concerning healthcare relocation services.
  • Support transition of healthcare services into the new facility.
  • Develop and maintain a transition timeline.
  • Coordinate the transition timeline with all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Identify transition tasks and monitor their progress.
  • Assist and advise gaining units, LRMC, and the 86th Medical Group in preparation for clinical activation.
  • Assist and advise the DHA Project Site Office in preparing for healthcare startup.
  • Support preparation for safe and accreditable healthcare operations at ROBMC.
  • Support responsibilities defined by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War (OASW).
  • Assist in development of DHA Clinical Transition policies.
  • Assist in development of DHA Clinical Transition procedures.
  • Assist in development of DHA Clinical Transition standards.
  • Assist in development of DHA Clinical Transition tools and templates.
  • Coordinate with the Initial Outfitting & Transition contractor.
  • Help coordinate medical equipment training.
  • Help coordinate medical equipment acceptance.
  • Provide technical planning, coordination, and advice throughout the clinical transition process.
  • Coordinate with medical, project-management, construction, outfitting, equipment, and other stakeholders as necessary to support successful activation.
Requirements
  • MUST be US citizen and have ability to obtain security clearance
  • Experience with clinical activation and operations of U.S. military medical facilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare facility transition and clinical relocation processes.
  • Experience supporting transition of healthcare services between existing and new medical facilities.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and requirements applicable to U.S. military medical centers.
  • Ability to assess clinical operational changes resulting from facility transition.
  • Experience developing and maintaining transition timelines and task trackers.
  • Ability to identify transition requirements, assign/coordinate actions, and monitor task progress.
  • Ability to provide clinical and technical advice to medical units and project stakeholders.
  • Ability to support safe and accreditable healthcare startup.
  • Understanding of clinical activation, operational readiness, medical equipment training, and equipment acceptance.
  • Ability to coordinate with gaining units, LRMC, the 86th Medical Group, DHA-FE, the PSO, and the Initial Outfitting & Transition contractor.
  • Ability to support development of policies, procedures, standards, tools, and templates related to clinical transition.
  • Ability to understand and support mission and OASW-defined responsibilities.
  • Strong communication, coordination, organization, and technical-planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary Government/contractor project environment.
  • Ability to work at the ROBMC project site in Weilerbach, Germany.
  • Ability to travel to LRMC, the 86th Medical Group, and other project-related locations as required.
  • Ability to comply with applicable OCONUS travel and authorization requirements.
