Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Clinical Trainer (BCBA) to lead trainee development at one to two local centers. You will supervise RBTs, support case supervisors, and deliver weekly training sessions, while advancing ESDM-based care and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

The role offers a strong onboarding, ongoing training, and opportunities for clinical advancement within a growing network focused on early intervention for children ages 2–6.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field.
• LBA in Arizona (for AZ only).
• Background in child development or early childhood education preferred.
• 3+ years as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• ABA early intervention experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to care quality and child-centered practice.
• Ability to work with 2–6 year olds and families.
• Excellent digital proficiency with computers and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth and development of new trainees (BT/RBT) at 1–2 local centers.
• Support initial and ongoing RBT competency evaluations.
• Support 3–4 case supervisors in clinical decision making.
• Provide weekly billable supervision during trainees’ first 6 weeks.
• Host weekly group training and discussions for new trainees.
• Develop trainees in ESDM practices and ABA strategies.
• Complete monthly ESDM Fidelity Checks for RBTs.
• Coordinate with BCBAs to ensure supervision requirements are met.
• Organize quarterly center-level continuing education events.
• Collaborate with Partner Clinician and Center Operations Director on performance improvements.
• Serve as clinical leader when Partner Clinician is unavailable.
• Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years.

Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. Compensation & Role Design

Base pay: $95,500.00 - $105,500.00/year. Annual performance bonus potential up to $5,000. Additional compensation beyond the range for achieving clinical certifications.

Bonus: Up to $10,000 sign on bonus, based on start date and location.

Support and training: Deep onboarding and ongoing training in our ESDM-based care model, with close clinical leadership support

In some cases, candidates may be offered an Associate Clinical Trainer role, designed as a developmental pathway to the Clinical Trainer position. In this role, individuals will build proficiency in Soar’s care model while managing a small caseload and supervising practicum students, before progressing into the Clinical Trainer role.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Trainer is responsible for new trainee (BT/RBT) growth and development at one to two local centers after trainees complete one week of centralized training
• Support initial and ongoing RBT competency evaluations for new and existing RBTs
• Support 3-4 case supervisors as they grow their clinical and decision making skills
• Provide weekly hours of billable supervision, focused on providing supervision to trainees during their first 6 weeks at Soar, and case supervisors preparing for the BCBA exam
• Host weekly group training and discussion sessions for new trainees at their home center
• Build trainees skill sets in ESDM practices and ABA strategies, including joint activity routines, responding to challenging behavior, data collection/documentation, and evidence based teaching strategies
• Completes monthly STNH ESDM Fidelity Checks for RBTs
• Hosts a section of the MDC bi-weekly to monthly that communicates with BCBAs what is needed from them to ensure adherence to supervision requirements
• Organize and host quarterly, center-level continuing education events for BCBAs and RBTs
• Collaborate with the Partner Clinician and Center Operations Director regarding RBT performance and needed performance improvement initiatives
• Act as a clinical leader in the center on days when the Partner Clinician is not present
• Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting your role as a Clinical Trainer
