Job summary

The Women’s Home in Houston seeks a Clinical Therapist II - Aftercare Coordinator to provide direct services to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders, including individual and group counseling, family counseling, and psychoeducation. The role emphasizes relapse prevention and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
• LPC or LCSW eligible for full licensure within 3 months.
• Trauma-informed, client-centered perspective.
• Chemical dependency treatment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical dependency models (12-step, CBT, Motivational Interviewing).
• Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Knowledge of accessing community resources.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with community collaborations preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy to clients in Residential treatment and Outpatient programs.
• Facilitate group sessions for adults.
• Provide crisis counseling and suicide assessments.
• Develop treatment and discharge plans.
• Document notes in compliance with regulations.
• Act as advocate with other service providers and staff.
• Participate in treatment and discharge planning.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings and case staffings.
• Assist in marketing Aftercare Services.
• Recruit on-site counseling and supportive services.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate events at both campuses.
• In-service training for staff and volunteers on chemical dependency topics.
