This position is eligible for a $2500 retention bonus.

Job Summary:

The Providence Center is seeking a Clinical Therapist ICT Prairie Avenue Team to provide outpatient psychotherapy at The Providence Center or in the community. Responsibilities include initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of assigned clients.
  • Treat clients with respect and professionalism, especially during crisis situations.
  • Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM IV).
  • Perform and document mental status examinations.
  • Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide risk and danger to others.
  • Gather relevant information from collateral sources while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with Center policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and communicate clinical formulations based on behavioral data, relevant theories, and psychosocial and family issues.
  • Utilize psychiatric consultation and intervention when appropriate.
  • Determine appropriate levels of care and facilitate referrals within the continuum of care.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy for mental health and substance abuse issues.
  • Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals involved in the client's care.
  • Stay informed about mental health, substance abuse, and community resources.
  • Communicate effectively with local agencies, community partners, and Center staff.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with health information policies.
  • Participate in trainings, case presentations, and conferences.
  • Foster cooperative relationships with staff, clients, community agencies, and the public.
  • Serve on Center committees and provide mental health consultations to community agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, with clinical experience.
  • LICSW and/or LCDP and/or LMHC licensure preferred; LICSW strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, registration, current inspection, and insurance if driving is required.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
