Job summary

I AM ABLE CENTER FOR FAMILY DEVELOP in Chicago seeks a licensed therapist to provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples, families and groups using a multi-systemic approach. The role includes managing an active caseload, conducting intakes, and coordinating with DCFS, Medicaid, and other agencies.

Responsibilities include documentation, referrals, meetings, and potential supervision duties. A master’s degree in social work or related field is required; LCSW preferred for

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of Federal, state, local, and private social services regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Data Entry software required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Two (2) year minimum experience in alcohol and drug counseling, children and adolescent counseling, marriage, and family therapy.
• Knowledge of working in an urban community is required.
• Fluency in Spanish a plus.
• LCSW for Supervisory position with minimum two years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups using a variety of modalities.
• Maintain an active caseload of up to 20 clients across multiple programs.
• Conduct intake appointments, client orientation, and mental health assessments.
• Understand case management needs and facilitate linkages/referrals with community resources.
• Provide advocacy and maintain communication with DCFS, courts, schools, and medical providers.
• Prepare clinical documentation and reports for Clinical Director.
• Participate in agency and community meetings and supervision sessions.
• Maintain ongoing communication regarding treatment progress with supervisor.
• Provide team/peer/intern leadership as assigned.
• Attend workshops and trainings for professional development.

Education
