Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated therapist looking to make a real impact? We're seeking a qualified Crossroads Therapist to join our team at the Lorain County Diversion campus. In this rewarding role, you will provide essential clinical services to young men and women participating in the Crossroads Program, helping them navigate challenges and build a brighter future.

About the Crossroads Program:

The Crossroads Program provides a higher level of community supervision for youth ordered into the program by a Magistrate or Judge. The program consists of a 16-week reporting phase followed by a 4-6 week aftercare phase. The reporting phase includes four levels, with reporting frequency decreasing from five to two days per week as youth progress. The aftercare phase allows youth to demonstrate their newly acquired skills. Additional therapeutic needs are identified and addressed on-site and in the community.

About the Role:

As a Crossroads Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive services to youth and families involved in the program. Parent involvement is expected and required. This position primarily operates on a second-shift schedule, with typical hours falling between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, allowing for flexibility and a unique work-life balance. You will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting comprehensive bio/psycho/social and chemical dependency assessments.
  2. Developing individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  3. Providing counseling to clients and families, both at the center and in the community.
  4. Collaborating with court staff, professionals, and agencies.
  5. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  6. Participating in team meetings, supervisions, and trainings.
  7. Facilitating evidence-based curriculum, including parenting groups, individual and family counseling, AOD groups, and case management services.
  8. Supporting youth in activities such as life skill development, problem-solving, team building, and career exploration.
  9. Care coordinating and case manager for youths enrolled in the program.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess, diagnose, and treat youth referred to the Crossroads Program.
  2. Meet productivity targets and collect outcome measures.
  3. Develop recommendations for clients transitioning out of the program.
  4. Implement interventions and address barriers to treatment progress.
  5. Articulate clinical findings and recommendations to clients, families, and court staff.
  6. Maintain professional boundaries in a community-based setting.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  8. Actively participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling required. SUD/co-occurring treatment experience preferred.
  2. Valid Ohio LSW or LPC required. LISW or LPCC preferred.
  3. Strong clinical skills, including crisis intervention, diagnostic assessment, referrals, brief mental health counseling, trauma-informed care, family systems theory, and motivational interviewing.
  4. Ability to work independently and with initiative.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Cultural competency and sensitivity.
  7. Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
  8. Valid driver's license with an approved driving record (less than 6 points), personal transportation, and insurance (if required to drive on behalf of the agency).

Compensation: $55,000 - $58,000 annually, plus a $4,000 sign-on bonus!
