Job Summary: The Providence Center Clinical Therapist Per Diem will provide outpatient psychotherapy for Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, screening, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program.
2. Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers.
3. Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM IV).
4. Perform and record mental status examination.
5. Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide and danger to others.
6. Collect pertinent data from appropriate collateral sources in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
7. Provide individual, group, and family mental health and/or substance abuse therapy.
8. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Center policy and legal requirements.
9. Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the consumers' network of care.
10. Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other Center requirements.
11. Provide mental health consultation to other community agencies.

Requirements:

• Master degree in Social Work and relevant clinical experience.
• LICSW/LMHC with 5 years post licensure and LCDP required.
• Experience providing substance abuse treatment preferred.
• Insured auto and valid driver's license.
