Job summary

SUN Behavioral Health in Kentucky seeks a licensed mental health professional to perform psychosocial evaluations, coordinate admissions, and work within a multidisciplinary team to plan care. You will provide therapy, assess crises, and document care in the medical record to support safe, effective treatment.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, crisis intervention using CPI, discharge planning, and linking clients to outpatient services and community resources, while ensuring HIPAA

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license in state of employment as LPC, LMFT, LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, LPCC-S, LMSW, or LCSW, or state equivalent license.
• CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification.
• Minimum two years of supervised clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes psychosocial evaluations on assigned patients with timely reporting.
• Interviews patients, families and others to determine crisis impact and needs.
• Assists with admission processes and coordinates inpatient referrals.
• Conducts therapy sessions with individuals and groups.
• Manages crisis situations using CPI and documents actions taken.
• Engages in discharge planning and links to community resources.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant, accurate medical records and third-party payer paperwork.
• Collaborates with the medical staff and multidisciplinary team.
