Job summary

Alliance Recovery in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a motivated therapist to join our outpatient program. This full-time role involves group and individual therapy for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, with a focus on evidence-based approaches.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field required.
• Registered Associate with the BBS (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) required.
• At least 1 year of addiction treatment experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1–2 therapy groups per week and provide individual counseling.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations using DSM criteria.
• Maintain clinical documentation in EMR and provide crisis intervention when needed.

Alliance Recovery is a leading outpatient Substance Use Disorder facility located in Fountain Valley, CA. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1–2 therapy groups per week and provide individual counseling

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations using current DSM criteria

• Utilize therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and 12-step frameworks

• Collaborate with community resources and referral sources to coordinate client care

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed

• Uphold all licensure, registration, and certification requirements

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in a related field (required)

• Registered Associate with the BBS (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC – required)

• Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders, family systems, and trauma-informed care

• Familiarity with EMRs and clinical documentation standards
