Job summary

United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) is seeking an entry-level Clinical Technologist to support patient flow and assist in various clinical tasks. After completing an initial 4–6 week training, you will perform all responsibilities independently in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role is ideal for Medical Assistants or Patient Care Technicians looking to expand skills, with duties spanning patient care, procedure support, documentation, and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association preferred).
• Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program.
• Strong communication skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Dependable, punctual, and knowledgeable in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care Support: Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation. Use eCW to update patient status and maintain smooth patient flow.
• Procedure Support: Prepare exam rooms, support sterile and non-sterile procedures, assist in surgical procedures, and follow CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and cleanliness.
• Documentation & Inventory: Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked.
• Compliance & Confidentiality: Uphold all HIPAA standards, follow UVVC's Core Values and Standards of Conduct, and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.
