Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education as listed: high school diploma or GED and active BLS certification.
• Eligible candidates include CNA with Florida licensure, RN student or RN in progress, or RN graduate awaiting NCLEX.
• EMT or Paramedic with Florida licensure is acceptable with relevant experience.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a PC are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under nurse supervision.
• Support unit operations and assist with patient care tasks.
• Receive and relay reports from primary care partners promptly.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Assist with specimens collection and lab specimen transport per protocol.
• Respond to patient requests and communicate with caregivers as needed.
• Perform basic procedures and maintain competency in procedures.
• Transport patients within the hospital as required.
