VHC Health is seeking a Clinical Technician for the Labor and Delivery unit. You'll play a vital role in patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, performing various tasks from routine patient care to maintaining safe environments. Strong communication skills and empathy are essential, along with the required education and experience.
Clinical Technician, Labor and Delivery
Purpose & Scope:
The Clinical Technician II works under the direct supervision of the RN and is an active member of the health care team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Clinical Technician performs routine duties involving patient care, including activities of daily living, observing patient status changes, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. Clinical Technicians must be empathetic, possess good communication skills, and have nursing skills to care for patients.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent clinical experience as defined in the CORE skills for Clinical Technician II, completion or enrollment in Clinical Technician II program, or student nurses who have completed medical/surgical clinical experiences and didactic training.
Certification/Licensure:
BLS certification is required.
Other Qualifications:
Minimum of six educational hours related to the current role.
