Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Clinical Technician to support patient care under the supervision of an RN in a high-quality hospital setting in Cleveland, OH. The role emphasizes empathy, safety, and patient-first service as you participate in vital sign checks, basic care, and room maintenance. This is a regular PRN position with days/evenings/nights/weekends from 7:00 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least one year of patient care

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association within the new hire period.
• At least one year of recent, full-time patient care experience.
• Clinical rotation may substitute for the required experience for nursing students.
• Military medical experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs and personal care.
• Assist with point of care testing, dressing changes, external monitoring devices and Foley catheter removal.
• Report abnormal findings to an RN and keep patient rooms clean and orderly.

As a Clinical Technician, you will assist with basic patient care, maintain room cleanliness and demonstrate empathy and compassion in all activities and interactions. Your work plays a direct role in our mission to continuously provide patients with the best healthcare experience possible.

This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days/evenings/nights/weekends between 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley Catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within new hire period (Nursing Student req to have prior to hire)
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience
• Additional education/training may substitute for some/all the stated experience
• Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.
• Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $21.75

Maximum hourly: $21.75
