Overview

At Fast Pace Health, Clinical Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific job description.
  • Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees and build confidence and credibility.
  • Provide clinical and administrative support, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the company's Core Values: teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.
  • Conduct activities consistent with department expectations and compliant with regulations including HIPAA.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.
  • Perform triage by checking vitals, blood draws, injections, etc.
  • Observe patients, chart, report changes, and take necessary actions.
  • Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Support providers in minor procedures and physicals.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Assist patients utilizing Virtual Medicine Providers.
  • Complete patient charts accurately and promptly.
  • Arrange referrals and obtain pre-authorizations as directed.
  • Maintain positive relations with clients and staff, fostering a respectful and professional work environment.
  • Perform federal and non-federal exams such as DOT, BAT, and drug screens.
  • Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as specified.
  • Comply with operational standards and promote confidentiality.
  • Complete mandatory compliance training.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the office and support a professional environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Secondary:

    • Assist with clerical tasks such as patient check-in, demographic and insurance data collection, with professionalism and care.
    • Verify insurance eligibility and relay payment and billing information.
    • Support team communication via answering calls, messages, and voicemails.

    Supporting Telehealth:

    • Prepare patient charts through virtual communication methods.
    • Assist with follow-ups, including pharmacy requests, paperwork, scheduling, and clinical calls.

    Additional Requirements:

    Level 1: High School Diploma or equivalent, current CPR license, and at least 1 year of experience as a certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic in a clinical setting.

    Level 2: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with current CPR license, with either 4 years’ relevant experience and 2 years at Fast Pace or 6 years’ relevant experience.

    Level 3 & 4: Similar requirements with increased experience thresholds.

    Additional responsibilities include administrative duties like scheduling, ordering, and training. CPR license must be active within 7 days of hire.

    Experience & Education Requirements

    High School Diploma or equivalent; 1+ year relevant experience preferred; active, verifiable license or certification; TB and IV certification required within 60 days of employment if applicable.
