An established industry player seeks a dedicated supervisor for a school-based research grant. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with guidelines. Supervise the day-to-day on-site operations for a school-based PCORI research grant. Supervise on-site hygienist and dental assistant staff including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. Identify and prioritize assignments to ensure deadlines are met and review work for accuracy. Evaluate current and establish new guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance requirements are adhered to and met. Serve as the primary point of contact for dental hygienists and dental assistants for schedule changes, including sick/vacation time usage and other requests. Provide therapeutic dental services that support the promotion of good oral health when necessary. This is a grant-funded position that operates 10 months out of the year for the duration of the project.
Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene or administration or equivalent and valid NY State Dental Hygiene License.
Required Experience:3 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:Experience in supervising staff in an academic or research environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate information to a diverse population at all levels. Proficiency in Windows-based computer software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; as well as databases.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Experience in pediatric dental practice or community-based organizations.
