Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark seeks a Full Time Clinical Team Leader for the Mount Carmel Guild Adult Residential program in Union City, NJ. The position requires a NJ License in Social Work (LSW) and a Master’s degree in a mental health related field.

You will coordinate clinical services within the residential team, supervise staff, complete intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, and provide crisis coverage. Schedule is Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health related discipline is required.
• LSW license in New Jersey is required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory and residential experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical services within the residential team and supervise staff.
• Conduct intake assessments, biopsychosocials, and treatment plans (CSP).
• Provide crisis intervention and 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Lead development of Comprehensive Service Plans and supervise clinical progress notes.
• Conduct regular individual and group therapy and psycho-education sessions.
• Coordinate admissions/discharges and oversee benefits/entitlements.

Mount Carmel Guild Behavioral Health System, a CARF accredited division of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, is a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Northern New Jersey.

We are currently seeking aFull Time – Clinical Team Leader for our MCG Adult Residential program located in Union City, NJ.(Must have NJ License in Social Work – LSW - Schedule posted below.)

Our Residential Programs serve individuals who are referred primarily from the State and County Hospitals and who are ready for discharge into the community. MCG has had success in moving individuals along the continuum of care available, progressing from A+ group homes to less supervised levels.

Job Duties of Clinical Team Leader:

• Coordinates clinical services within the residential team and provides clinical supervision to residential staff and treatment services delivery and progress monitoring.
• Responsible for Intake Assessments, Biopsychosocials, and Treatment Plans (CSP).
• Provides crisis intervention and 24-hour on call coverage.
• Leads the development of Comprehensive Service Plans, assesses needs, and clinical interventions.
• Completes and monitors clinical progress notes and clinical documentation and reports.
• Conducts regular individual and group therapy and psycho-education sessions.
• Participates in case conferencing with day treatment providers, hospitals and family members as needed to assure continuity and consistency of services.
• Develops Residential Staff Training Curriculum, training materials and conducts and documents new staff and annual staff training in all Modules.
• Has oversight of the State referral process, BEDS online system and coordinates admissions and discharges.
• Coordinates resident's benefits/entitlements and assists Program Manager with resident related administrative tasks.
• Conducts monthly staff meetings and ongoing weekly staff clinical supervision and training

• Tuesday and Thursday 12:00PM-6:00PM

Requirements for Clinical Team Leader:

• Master's degree in mental health related discipline
• LSW
• Valid NJ driver's license required

Three to five years of supervisory and residential experience is preferred but not required.
