Position Summary
The Team Lead position requires a solid understanding of behavioral health appeals workflows, policies and procedures. The Team Lead is responsible for training, mentoring, and onboarding new staff, is the SME and first line contact for clinical questions from the team, supports the expedited appeals process, is responsible for behavioral health workflow management, and may have responsibility for their own case load depending on inventory/department needs. The Team Lead may lead projects, support the Associate Manager as needed, is able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, and may be required to cross-train to learn various types of appeals processes. This role is responsible for providing ongoing communication and updates to leadership, and contributes to, and participates in team meetings. The role promotes cooperation and team building between all department members.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN), active license in good standing
Proficiency with computer, navigating multiple systems
Experience with application and interpretation of behavioral health clinical criteria (LOCUS, CALOCUS, ASAM)
3+ years of behavioral health clinical experience
Proven track record of mentoring, training, leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Managed care experience
Appeals experience
Utilization management experience

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,575.00 - $142,576.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
