Job summary

GENESIS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM seeks a Clinical Systems Engineer to oversee implementation, configuration, documentation and testing of networked medical devices linked to the EMR. The role acts as a technical liaison between IT and Biomed, guiding device integration projects involving OS, interfaces, software applications and network security.

You will analyze systems, coordinate internal and external teams, and ensure documentation, compliance and timely completion of initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, IT or related field required.
• 3–5 years of clinical engineering/IT support experience, including healthcare.
• Ability to troubleshoot networking, HL7, FHIR, and APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage networked medical device integration projects and related documentation.
• Define project scope, resources, timelines, technical specs, and cost estimates with IT, Biomed, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings, vendor activities, milestones and deliverables for timely completion from start to finish.
• Serve as liaison between IT and Biomed; support workflows in ServiceNow and Biomed CMMS for accurate documentation and ongoing support.
• Coordinate clinical medical device infrastructure, including networks, servers, and interfaces.
• Provide initial IT technical review and troubleshooting for connectivity, integration and operational issues of medical equipment.
• Oversee vendor work on medical device servers ensuring alignment with IT, Biomed, cybersecurity and compliance.
