Job summary

Kootenai Health is seeking a Clinical Systems Administrator to bridge IT, Clinical Engineering and vendors, ensuring secure and effective interfacing of medical devices with hospital systems. You will configure, integrate, and support clinical systems to enable safe, efficient patient care.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in clinical engineering or device IT, with Windows/Linux medical systems experience and strong troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in IT or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a clinical engineering environment or with device IT integration.
• Hands-on experience supporting or integrating medical devices with IT infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; ability to work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports networked facility and biomedical systems and their integration with clinical IT infrastructure.
• Collaborates with Clinical Engineering and other facilities to manage device connectivity, data flows, and system compatibility.
• Maintains asset IP assignments and identity group membership for connected medical devices and software.
• Works with vendors and internal teams to implement, test, and support clinical devices and systems.
• Supports cybersecurity by applying patches, managing device segmentation, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
