Overview of Position

Under direct supervision, provides quality clinical supervision and work direction to direct reports, offering discipline‑specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Oversees all components of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs of its caseload, ensuring high quality and the use of best‑practice guidelines.

Essential Functions

• Facilitates behavior programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), conducts behavior assessments, and functions as an Assessor when needed.
• Provides parent education, develops and delivers specific intervention activities, and serves as liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, and health‑care providers.
• Conducts evaluations, case‑management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director.
• Meets productivity requirements set forth in the annual budget.
• Leads and/or attends staff meetings.
• Prepares and provides specialized training and instructional materials, including staff development training, as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director.
• Ensures associate responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are clearly defined and understood.
• Manages and evaluates the performance and productivity of associates in the assigned region.
• Provides training and onboarding for new associates; ongoing training to assigned Program Managers and Behavior Interventionists; and specialized training to associates preparing for various certifications.
• Works with the Regional Clinical Director and Human Resources in the recruitment/selection process of new program associates.
• Oversees associates involved in the recruitment/selection process as needed.
• Attends conferences and trainings to remain current regarding new research, current trends, and developments in autism, special education, and related fields.
• Functions as liaison between the organization, families, and other community agencies including regional centers, school programs, therapists, and health‑care providers assisting with questions and concerns as they arise.
• Travels as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Master’s degree in ABA or a related field.
• Must possess and maintain a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.

Experience

2–3 years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi‑disciplinary team setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches found to benefit children with ASD, familiar with current related research findings.
• Expertise in intervention approaches based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Consistently demonstrates good judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Maintains a customer‑service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, and works cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.
• Relates well to children and their families, maintaining a positive affect.
• Exercises discretion, demonstrates good judgment, and maintains a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
• Passes a post‑offer physical examination and TB test, and provides proof of required vaccinations or positive titer indicating immunity, with a signed declination acceptable for certain vaccinations.
• Obtains and maintains a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation, per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
• Accommodates travel up to 50% locally; maintains a driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards and holds auto insurance and vehicle registration.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Occasional standing, sitting, walking, and repetitive motion or activity. Visual acuity and environmental exposure as needed. Up to 20% of work time may involve exposure to unpleasant or hazardous working conditions such as noise, heat, dust, or bodily fluids.
