Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers’ Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is seeking a per-diem Clinical Support staff to join our Lake Worth, Florida treatment team. The role supports the Clinical Director and therapists by conducting groups, assisting with patient caseloads, and performing biopsychosocial assessments in a busy setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, with experience in behavioral/mental health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field is required.
• Experience in behavioral/mental health treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, prepared with patient issues and progress notes.
• Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations.
• Conducts groups.
• Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Cover client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
• Assist Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
• Assist client in managing outside stressors.
• Maintains clinical records per program policies and licensing standards.
• Assist discharge planning with the Therapist and Case Manager.

Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, a proud addition to Banyan Treatment Centers, is recruiting for a per-diem Clinical Support staff to join our treatment team in Lake Worth, Florida.

As part of the Clinical team, the Clinical Support staff is pivotal in serving individuals with primary substance use or mental-health disorders. This role involves conducting groups, assisting the primary Therapist in managing patient caseloads, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, and supporting various patient care activities under the guidance of the attending Clinical Director(s).

Position Details

• Schedule: Part-time schedule
• Location: Lake Worth, FL (On-site).
• Compensation: $25- $26hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
• Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial.
• Conducts groups.
• Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Responsible for covering client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
• Assists Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
• Assists client in managing outside stressors.
• Maintains clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
• Assists Therapist and Case Manger with discharge planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.

Preferences

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
• Active Florida LAMFT, LASW or ACSW.
• CADC or SUDDC.
• Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health treatment.

Abilities And Skills

• Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding client confidentiality.
• Proficiency in group facilitation.
• Skilled in crisis intervention, including de‑escalation and suicide risk assessment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
