Evaheart, Inc. is looking for a field engineer ("clinical support specialist"), who has a biomedical engineering background for mechanical circulatory support. The Clinical Support Specialist will provide support to the Company by providing pre-operative & post-operative training, on-site implant tech support, and continuous data analysis for the use of the Evaheart2 LVAS.
This is a full-time in-person position at our Bellaire TX office.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the Evaheart LVAS application in the clinical trial and commercial clinical setting.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge and command of the Evaheart LVAS.
- Performs onsite customer in-service and education regarding the product and procedures.
- Keypoint of contact for clinical issues for customers in assigned territory.
- Training and educating customers on Evaheart products per approved educational materials and IFU's.
- Provides onsite implant support and follow-up.
- Provides 24-hour technical support by phone.
- Provides field support for technical support/ troubleshooting.
- Remains aware and integrates the knowledge of the LVAD market and therapeutic indication in the performance of job duties.
- Assists in developing or updating clinical support documentation, such as checklists, patient information booklets, product brochures, training modules, and conference presentations.
- Coordinates repair and/or return of product from the site (RMAs) as needed and with prior approval from management.
- Gathers market/customer-related feedback and provides timely market information to management as requested.
- Assists in the conduct of animal studies as part of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) applications, as needed.
- Willing to participate in healthcare vendor credentialing process.
- Available to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Attending implants to provide clinical support according to approved educational materials.
- Effective and timely management of territory clinical issues, and process-related issues, Awareness of and adherence to Advamed guidelines.
- Evaluate the clinical and educational needs of customers.
- Responsible for providing technical and clinical support to customers and the sales team.
- Coordinates and assists with the training of all centers in an assigned geographical region.
- Evaluate customer needs and recommends appropriate product modifications.
- Completes clinical reports as requested by management, and completes all additional documentation requested by management in a timely basis.
- Protects and acts responsibly toward all company equipment and confidential information.
- Provides support at Tradeshows as requested by management.
- Must be able to travel in the U.S. and occasionally internationally. Estimated 50% overnight travel (vast majority within geography indicated above).
- Ability to work effectively from a home office base and must provide the majority of their own typing, filing, and communications support.
- Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
