Job summary

Valley Health System in the United States is hiring a Clinical Support Associate for the Cardiovascular Lab to assist nurses in patient care and unit operations.

The role supports supply management, patient movement, and team communication, with a Tue/Wed/Thu 7:00am–3:30pm schedule. A high school diploma and BLS are required; CNA registry is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification (Healthcare Provider) via AHA required.
• Registry of the VA Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
• Keyboarding and computer skills required.
• Positive customer service skills required.
• Ability to use good judgment and communicate with patients and families clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in patient care and unit operations as delegated.
• Perform supply management and patient movement/repositioning tasks.

Job Description

Registry of the VA Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide strongly preferred
Work Schedule for this position is every Tue, Wed, Thu from 7am-3:30pm
Clinical Support Associate facilitates the delivery of patient care by performing specific patient care tasks and supportive functions as delegated by the RN, such as supply management and patient movement and repositioning tasks. Other responsibilities include customer service, specific administrative/clerical tasks, support functions and facilitating communication among team members under the supervision of a registered nurse; requires a person with a positive attitude who is pleasant and cooperative; displays a professional demeanor with patients, families, physicians and fellow employees; works well under stressful conditions and remains pleasant and productive; works as a team member.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certification & Licensures

BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required. Registry of the VA Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
