Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, monitor patient health status and implement care plans.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders within scope of practice.
• Take and record blood pressures, temperatures, pulse, and weight.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and telemetry setup.
• Collect specimens as directed and perform sterile procedures as assigned.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Transport patients and help staff move patients as needed.
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked with supplies; restock as directed.
• Provide safety attendant care when assigned and report changes to RN.
