Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• 3-5 years of patient care as an RN in the relevant care area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain certifications for all care areas supported in Float Pool.
• Align behaviors with OU Health values and nursing standards.
• Assume responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Document patient responses and changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitor and intervene based on patients' physiological data.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver safe and competent patient care.
• Resolve patient complaints per policy with staff support.
• Inform patients and families about procedures and discharge plans.
• Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
• Pursue mentorship and maintain licensure for ongoing proficiency.
• Develop a professional career plan aligned with metrics.
