Job summary

George Washington University Hospital is seeking a Labor & Delivery Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a teaching and research hospital setting. The role emphasizes oversight of clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, and resource utilization, with a focus on delivering patient-centered care for diverse obstetric patients.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN, have 1 year of charge nurse experience, and show commitment to professional development through specialty

Qualifications

• BSN required; 1 year charge nurse experience preferred.
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Certification in specialty preferred.
• Unit-specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy certification, etc.) preferred.
• Member of professional practice organization pertinent to area of practice preferred.

We provide clinically advanced, personalized childbirth services with a collaborative approach with Advanced Practitioners and Providers. As a teaching and research hospital, advanced science is accessible for the most challenging birth situations.

• BSN required. 1 year charge nurse experience preferred
• Professional experience that demonstrates ability to understand the clinical practice environment. 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred
• Certification in specialty preferred
• Successful completion of unit specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP,chemotherapy certification,etc.)
• Member of professional practice organization pertinent to area of practice preferred
