Job summary

Hour Children seeks a Clinical Supervisor to oversee mental health, case management, and resident support services across community programs. You will supervise social workers, guide treatment planning, and ensure trauma‑informed, client-centered care with strong documentation and collaboration.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Programs, you will coach staff, oversee crisis response, and support program quality, with on-call coverage and a flexible schedule to meet participant needs.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential required.
• At least five years supervising staff serving justice-impacted populations with complex trauma histories; experience supporting women and families preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, supervision, crisis intervention, and case consultation skills.
• Familiarity with evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-focused CBT.
• Experience navigating public benefits, substance use treatment systems, and supportive housing services.
• Demonstrated ability to support staff development, manage competing priorities, and address performance concerns.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally responsive, and gender-responsive services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems; experience with AWARDS and CAPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to assigned social workers, the House Manager, and staff as appropriate.
• Guide assessment, service and treatment planning, counseling, care coordination, professional boundaries, and ethical decision-making.
• Coordinate staffing and coverage to maintain continuity of services.
• Support onboarding and identify training needs; conduct performance evaluations.
• Maintain supervision records and communicate staffing needs to leadership.
• Coordinate supervision and learning opportunities for interns.
