Job summary

Ellie Mental Health is seeking a Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-C) for our Midlothian, VA clinic. You will supervise resident therapists, manage caseloads, and ensure adherence to clinical policies, while contributing to growth and quality of mental health services in the community.

The role emphasizes evidence-based treatment, staff development, and collaboration with franchise owners and corporate staff to improve efficiency and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with current Virginia licensure as an LCSW and Virginia Board Approved Supervisor.
• On-site availability to supervise clinical staff and see patients in Midlothian, VA.
• Passionate about quality evidence-based treatment and contributing to the field by training and supervising others.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Experience in a fee-for-service private practice clinical supervision role is preferred (1–2+ years).
• Comfortable maintaining a weekly patient load (e.g., around 18 patients).

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, and staff management: Provide training for new hires, ensure adherence to clinical and operational policies, hold staff accountable for performance, manage staff performance, and foster an office culture of collaboration, inclusion, and growth.
• Supervision and consultation: Oversee clinic performance and productivity, monitor data to drive decisions, provide clinical oversight to Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals (including signing documents for pre-licensed providers), and offer 1:1 consultations on productivity, caseload, and documentation.
• Client care: Evaluate mental health diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, maintain ongoing documentation per policy, apply creative interventions to help clients achieve goals, and coordinate services with families, case managers, medical personnel, and other Ellie staff as needed.
• Clinic oversight: Collaborate with franchise owner and corporate staff to improve fiscal and clinical efficiency, monitor schedules and office supplies, address concerns raised by clients or staff, and serve as a point of contact for building management issues.
• Clinic outreach, marketing, and networking: Participate in and lead community outreach in collaboration with the franchise owner and Ellie Outreach Team; collaborate with Ellie’s Marketing Team to promote the clinic’s online visibility.
