The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Sports Medicine and Rehab Patients

The role you’ll contribute:

As part of our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen, and renew. We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler, and Lake Counties with a team of therapists, clinicians, and staff committed to AdventHealth’s mission.

Assist in managing the clinical rehabilitation team (therapists, assistants, athletic trainers, technical aides, volunteers, and interns). Responsibilities include interviewing and selecting staff, providing coaching, performing developmental evaluations, and engaging in rounding with physicians and patients.

• Interview, hire, and orient clinical staff; complete clinical competencies and performance reviews; approve continuing education requests; coordinate in-services; serve as a mentor; promote evidence-based standards and lifelong learning through research, journal clubs, teaching, and mentoring.
• Assist in daily operations, including clinical and service rounding, developing clinical content, conducting staff meetings, and managing reports. Respond to and resolve complaints independently. Act as a clinical resource for physicians, patients, and staff. Escalate issues as needed.
• Support quality improvement activities, ensure compliance with clinical practice guidelines, conduct chart audits, and educate the team on documentation standards.
• Participate in marketing efforts to build referral relationships, support community outreach, educational lectures, and extend clinical expertise to the community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
• Two or more years of work experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Current valid State of Florida license as Occupational Therapist
