Position: Clinical Supervisor, MA-C, LPN, or RN

Location: Family Health Associates, Bellingham, WA

Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm (Non-exempt, hourly)

Compensation

The full wage scale for a Clinical Supervisor, MA-C is $26.72 - $36.81 per hour.

The full wage scale for a Clinical Supervisor, LPN is $27.70 - $38.17 per hour.

The full wage scale for a Clinical Supervisor, RN is $33.20 - $49.08 per hour.

Placement within the wage range is determined by relevant experience.

Sign-on bonus: $3,000 for full-time (0.75 - 1.0 FTE) or $1,500 for part-time (0.5 - 0.74 FTE) (subject to payback clause).

Essential Job Functions
  • Leadership
    • Perform clinical skill set (MA-C, LPN, or RN) per FCN standards and act as mentor/preceptor.
    • Ensure clinical staff meetings are held regularly.
    • Serve as liaison between patients, staff, and management; resolve issues professionally.
    • Attend scheduled clinical leadership meetings to review regulatory, performance, clinical, legal/ethical or process concerns.
    • Participate in and promote FCN Initiatives.
    • Supervise and schedule clinical staff and other groups per Practice Manager.
    • Ensure staff adhere to protocols and processes per laws and Family Care Network.
    • Collaborate with other departments and agencies; attend meetings and committees as appropriate.
    • Monitor routine clinical functions consistently to meet quality standards and compliance.
    • Review and approve timecards as directed by Practice Manager.
    • Use and respond to email in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure staff perform roles in compliance with applicable laws and FCN guidelines.
    • Ensure adequate assessment, documentation, and communication to Practice Manager and FCN administration regarding policy violations, laws, rules, or scope of practice questions.
  • Performance Observation
    • Timely completion of new hire clinical training competency form.
    • Ensure demonstration and observation of operational procedures site‑specific are completed within 90 days.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews with Practice Manager.
    • Provide coaching and disciplinary action as needed with Practice Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrate clinical understanding of providing care per standards; critical thinking, triage assessment, problem solving, and documentation meeting standards.
  • Consistently meet overall Clinical competency standards for EMR documentation.
  • Accurately schedule, change, cancel appointments in practice management system.
  • Competency in accessing information from hospital EMR.
  • Effectively manage stress.
  • Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA, proprietary information, disciplinary actions, etc.).
  • Work as part of a team; model positive work ethic and customer‑friendly relations.
  • Prioritize and multitask detailed projects with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, email, and databases.
  • Communicate information accurately, clearly, and professionally (verbally and in writing, in person and via phone) with patients, personnel, and others.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited MA-C, LPN, or RN program.
  • Current Washington State Department of Health MA-C, LPN, or RN license in good standing.
  • Acquire and maintain BLS certification as per FCN BLS policy.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, sit, use hand‑to‑finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Employees are required to meet immunization standards in accordance with federal, state, and organizational health and safety guidelines, as applicable to the role. Exemptions for medical or religious reasons may be requested.
