Trauma Specialists of Maryland is seeking a Clinical Supervisor and Licensed Therapist (LCPC, LCSW-C) to join our Maryland trauma-focused team. We offer outpatient therapy (individual, family, and group) and a collaborative, EMDR-centered environment with ongoing training and supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in counseling or social work and an active LCPC or LCSW-C license. Board-approval for supervision is preferred; EMDRCertification pursuit is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Board approved Clinical Supervisor preferred or required.
• Active EMDR certification pursuit encouraged; supervision support available.
• Prior experience providing clinical supervision.
• Prior experience in a private practice setting.
• Specialization in trauma treatment.
• Current approval as in-network provider with BCBS and other insurers.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient therapy (individual, family, group) focusing on trauma.
• Provide clinical supervision to clinicians within a trauma-focused practice.
• Engage in EMDR-focused treatment and related trauma therapies; participate in ongoing training.
• Lead and document treatment planning and clinical documentation.

Clinical Supervisor & Licensed Therapist (LCPC, LCSW-C)

Trauma Specialists of Maryland is a values-based community of helping professionals working to provide effective, evidence-based trauma treatment to enhance the mental well-being of children, adults, families, and couples in our community. We are a highly skilled, fun, dynamic, and collaborative group of clinicians who value working together to treat the impact of trauma on our communities.

We are hiring for supervisors who are eligible to become or already are board approved supervisors in Maryland with either the Board of Social Work or Board of Professional Counselors. Our c linical therapists provide outpatient, individual, family, and group therapy to clients of Trauma Specialists of Maryland, LLC with locations in Downtown Frederick, Urbana, and Ballenger Creek, MD. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, couples and families. We are an EMDR focused practice and train all of our clinicians in EMDR if you are not trained already. Other treatment modalities such as IFS, DBT, Neurofeedback are also encouraged.

• Available to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Trauma Specialists.
• Have experience in treatment planning and excellent documentation.
• Be compassionate, inclusive, self‑motivated, and relatable (a great sense of humor is a plus!)
• Have a desire to treat trauma effectively.

Other Qualification Preferences:

• Board approved Clinical Supervisor
• Actively pursuing your EMDR Certification, since supervision at TSMD heavily relies on being able to support clinicians with EMDR therapy.
• Prior experience providing clinical supervision
• Prior experience in a private practice setting.
• Have a specialization in treating trauma.
• Current approval as an in‑network provider with BCBS (or ability to be paneled) and other insurance providers.
