The role emphasizes reviewing documentation, advancing treatment plans, and guiding staff in evidence-based practices. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage program development and quality assurance, and ensure client care aligns with NJDOH, DMHAS, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience providing substance use disorder treatment.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
• Knowledge of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented systems of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and guidance to counselors, interns, and other clinical staff.
• Conduct regular individual and group clinical supervision meetings.
• Review and approve biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Ensure all clinical documentation is completed within required timeframes and meets regulatory standards.
• Monitor client treatment progress and assist staff with complex or high-risk cases.
• Conduct case consultations and multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices and person-centered treatment approaches.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programming.
