The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for Labor & Delivery to supervise the 7pm–7am night shift, oversee staffing, patient flow, safety, and resource use in a high-acuity maternity service. You will lead a team of nurses, provide real-time coaching, and participate in process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.

A BSN and RN licensure are required; 1 year of charge nurse experience and 2 years of clinical nursing preferred, with

Qualifications

• BSN required; 1 year charge nurse experience preferred.
• 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Specialty certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy) preferred.
• Active RN license in the state is advantageous.
• Member of professional practice organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides shift to shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations. Maintains environment of care.
• Provides care to patients in a competent, capable, caring and efficient manner; age-appropriate.
• Role models organizational values.
• Provides real-time feedback to staff to improve performance.
