Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the unit-based leadership team and oversee nursing operations on a specific unit. The role requires a nursing degree, Georgia RN license, and BLS certification, with three years of clinical experience and at least one year in a specialty.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Nursing with two years in a clinical area and one year in a specialty.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
