Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks an ICU Clinical Supervisor for a full-time, night-shift role. The position blends direct patient care with managerial responsibilities, including disciplinary actions and involvement in staff hiring.

You will communicate with physicians, the Nurse Manager, and other departments to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. The role requires swift, accurate responses to changes in patient conditions in a 124-bed acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current CCRN certification preferred (must obtain within 1 year).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or enrolled in accredited program within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in ICU.
• Perform disciplinary actions and participate in staff hiring/termination.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and Nurse Director.
• Maintain collaborative working relationships within and across departments.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

This ICU Clinical Supervisor opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. This position performs a dual function, clinical and managerial. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, performs disciplinary actions, participates in hiring and termination of staff. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area.
• Consults other departments/disciplines as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs.
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to Nurse Director, co-workers and physicians.
• Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

Qualifications
