Position Overview

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment, analysis, treatment plan development, supervision of implementation, caregiver collaboration, and ongoing coaching of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are designed to address medical necessity and may occur in a variety of settings including CARD centers, patients’ homes, schools, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient.
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans.
  • Ensure 100% treatment adherence in all supervision hours each month.
  • Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths.
  • Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior.
  • Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions.
  • Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of protocols.
  • Direct behavior technicians in implementing new or revised treatment protocols.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians.
  • Work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation.
  • Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjust protocols based on data.
  • Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response.
  • Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours.
  • Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers).
  • Coordinate care with other professionals.
  • Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments.
  • Include caregiver as part of the treatment team through consistent collaboration meetings.
  • Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner.
  • Engage payers for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews).
  • Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Partner consistently with center leadership including operations, clinical supervisors, administrative coordinator, and technician leads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

  • Pass tuberculosis test.
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal.
Work Environment

Treatment may occur in patient homes, CARD centers, schools, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work indoors and outdoors, moving between locations throughout the day. Environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times.

Physical Requirements
  • Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community, and clinic environments.
  • Move frequently to gather materials, anticipate and respond to patient movement, and provide instruction in various settings.
  • Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to patient movements, including bending, kneeling, crouching, hurrying, or reaching to block entry.
  • Use continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movement and items in the surrounding environment.
  • Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors or physically block attempts to aggress toward others.
  • Bear weight of a leaning patient, pushing, or similar activities.
  • Teach patients to use vocal speech and articulate sound clearly, model speaking, and shape vocal communication.
  • Model gross motor skills (climbing, jumping) and fine motor skills (clapping, opening a container).
  • Work indoors and outdoors, potentially in various weather conditions.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients.
