Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in the United States is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide nursing clinical and administrative oversight for the Emergency Department. The role includes direct patient care oversight, daily operations, staff coordination, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have five years of hospital nursing experience with three years in management, a current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital setting, with three years Emergency Nursing care experience.
• Three (3) years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree preferred.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing clinical/administrative oversight for the Emergency Department.
• Coordinate patient care/outcomes and allocate human and fiscal resources.
• Manage communications, patient throughput, and program development.
• Conduct staff rounding, development, and retention activities.
• Provide clinical supervision, performance appraisal, and performance improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description

The Clinical Supervisor will provide nursing clinical/administrative oversight for the Emergency Department. He/she will be responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for the daily operations to include but not limited to coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

Required Experience

• Five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital setting required, with three years Emergency Nursing care experience.
• Three (3) years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area

Certification / Licensure

• Current License in the NYS as a Registered Nurse required.
