Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW seeks a Clinical Supervisor to oversee counseling staff, provide direct services to youth and adults, and ensure adherence to agency policies. The role includes developing training, maintaining documentation, and coaching teams across multiple sites.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in a related field, Oregon licenses (LCSW/LMFT/LPC), and Clinical Supervision QMHP credentials, with strong English communication and cultural competency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or related field.
• Two years of advanced postgraduate training in at least one theoretical/practical treatment approach and experience in outpatient mental health counseling.
• LCSW, LMFT, or LPC in the State of Oregon, Clinical Supervision Certification, and QMHP are required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Supervise counseling staff and provide counseling to youth and adult clients.
• Ensure agency policies are followed and maintain professional standards.
• Develop staff training, in-services, seminars, and educational opportunities.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of timesheets, supervision logs, and client records.
• Coach interns and staff to improve documentation and clinical competencies.
• Travel between worksites and work in various settings as needed.

The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision to counseling staff, provides counseling services to both youth and adult clients, carries out agency policies, remains professionally current, and represents the agency to the community.

• Models and encourages direct, professional communication among staff members,andfacilitatesdevelopmentof a positive staff support network deliveringnew informationaround agency expectations and/or changes to LCSNW policy is understood and implemented successfully.
• Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populationof clients served.
• Functionsin accordance withthe LCSNW personnel and administrative policies and procedures and OARs andadheresto the ethical standards of a professional association.
• Provides andassistsclinicaldirector in developing staff training, in-services,seminarsand other educational opportunities to ensure continued competence in skill areas, and attends required training related toprogram, supervision, and coaching
• Ensures the accuracy and timeliness ofrequired forms and oversight systems requiring a supervisor’s approval,such as timesheets, supervision logs, intervention documentation,and clientoutcome measures.
• Provides role and team coaching to interns and staff, helping to further develop and highlight individual andgroup’sproficiency, including supporting them in documentationrequirementson the electronic health record to reflect client’s progress and needs.

HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or related field
• Two years of advanced postgraduate training in at least one theoretical/practical treatment approach and experience in outpatient mental health counseling, or inpatient levels of care, and experience in client chart maintenance
• LCSW, LMFT, or LPC in the State of Oregon, Clinical Supervision Certification, and QMHP are required upon start.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self‑regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
• Adheres to and applies established operational processes in a timely, appropriate way
• Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end‑user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
• Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
• Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 15 pounds
• Travels between worksites frequently
• Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community‑based settings, institutions of higher education and faith‑based settings such as churches
• Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job‑relevant clearances as required by the State or program
